How it works

When you become a visitorXS "Wireless Internet" location, we will install, maintain a full solution.

A basic network installation can be seen below.

Our Central Authentication Server is located on the Internet. When a Wireless device connects to a Wi-Fi access point within your location, and the user opens the web browser, the visitorXS Access Server sends a secure web page to the browser for the user to enter their details and submit this to the Authentication Server. If successful verification the Access Server routes data packets,  between the wireless device and the Internet. If verification is unsuccessfull, the user is offered to purchase Air Time.

All wireless data traffic is sent through a seperate network segment and a seperate switch, therefore not allowing any unwelcome traffic through the company network, thus providing additional network security.

Our server is connected between your internet point and your internal firewall.

If you have a for more complicated internal network with switched routers and other network segments, FirstSpot™ software can work route traffic on these types of networks.
